Cajun Creole Market Recipe Stop

Cheese Grits with Mustard Greens and Southern Fried Catfish Filets

 
 
Grits
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1/4 teaspoon creole seasoning
  • 1 cup Quick Grits
  • 2/3 cups Pimento Cheese
Greens
  • 1 cup Smoked brisket burnt ends
  • 1 onion
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 2 bunches of mustard greens
  • 8 cup Chicken Stock
  • Kosher salt and black pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. Mix ingredients for cheesy grits 
  2. Add mustard greens from stovetop
  3. Make fresh LA catfish fillet  
  4. Buttermilk and Egg bath with Louisiana Hot Sauce
  5. Add flour and cornmeal mix
  6. Dredge in Eggwash followed by flour cornmeal mix
  7. Deep fry
  8. Drizzle with Gourmet Rd Original Louisiana Style BBQ Sauce and Enjoy!
